Campus Vote Project (CVP) - Fellow Recruitment Application Form

Are you passionate about political sciences and voting education? So, you should apply for the CVP fellowship to become a Campus Vote Project Democracy Fellow at WCC! Campus Vote Project works with universities and community colleges to reduce barriers to student voting while helping campuses institutionalize reforms that empower students with the information they need to register and vote.
Important information and requirements to be a CVP fellow:
  1. The Fall semester fellowship will start on September 2023.
  2. Fellows need to make at least 10 hours per week and submit their timesheets on CVP website weekly.
  3. Fellows must participate in an online orientation session (Part A and Part B) every semester. As a new fellow, the part A takes 2 hours and the Part B takes 1 hour, while as a returning fellow, both sessions take 1 hour each.
  4. Fellows must participate in at least 2 online Discussion Boards in each semester. Each session takes 1 hour.
  5. Fellow must participate in an 1 hours session of online Election Law Training in each semester. 
  6. Fellows must participate in the 1 hour online Reflection Session at the end of each semester and submit a Written Reflection summarizing all the events, projects, and activities done throughout the semester.
  7. Fellows must participate in 1:1 check-ins with their Fellowship Michigan administrator (Landon Myers)
  8. All other hours will be determined from activities, events, or projects that fellows plan throughout the semester.
  9. New fellows receive $500 after finishing all requirements and the semester is done. Returning fellows receive $700 after finishing all requirements and the semester is done.

WCC Requirements:

  • Student cumulative GPA must be above 2.0
  • Student must be enrolled in the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 semesters.
  • Student must be able to participate in meetings, events, and activities on WCC's main campus.
