Scholarship Description:
Washtenaw Community College Newspaper (WCCSN) Journalist Scholarships are awarded to selected students for their participation as primary leaders of the student newspaper. There are a total of 10 scholarships available to be awarded each fall and winter
semester.
WCCSN Student Journalist Scholarships are administered with final award approval of the Vice President of Student and Academic Services.

*Individual student’s Financial Aid award composition may be affected by the individual cost of attendance.
Scholarship Responsibilities:
Continuation of the scholarship award throughout each semester, and extending into future semesters is dependent on each individual student journalist’s adherence to the following standards:
Adherence to these standards will be reviewed on an on-going basis by:
- Coordinator of the Student Newspaper
- The Director of Student Development and Activities
- The Vice President of Student and Academic Services
Final decision on the continuation/termination of each scholarship award is at the discretion of the Vice President of Student and Academic Services.

As part of the WCCSN Scholarship Review Process, faculty, administrators, and current student journalists may be involved. Any information provided within this application may be accessed by all parties involved in review.
